About Jay

“Cinema isn’t just where I work — it’s where I belong.”
Jay Thakkar

Jay Thakkar is an Indian Film Actor who has been passionately performing since 2004. For him, acting is far more than a profession — it is his home, school, temple, and the medium through which he channels raw, honest & real emotions to connect with audiences. Now celebrating 21 years in the Indian film industry, Jay continues to evolve, explore, and entertain across platforms and genres.

2025 is a landmark year for Jay Thakkar. Not only is he celebrating 21 years in the Indian film industry, but he’s also starring in two major Bollywood theatrical releases, both hitting the big screen in May:

  • Bhool Chuk Maaf – A heartwarming romantic comedy from Maddock Films, releasing on 9th May, alongside Rajkummar Rao, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanjay Mishra, Seema Pahwa, Raghubir Yadav, and more.
  • Kapkapiii – A horror-comedy rollercoaster from Bravo Entertainment and Zee Studios, directed by Sangeeth Sivan, releasing on 23rd May, starring alongside Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor.

In both films, Jay plays one of the primary characters, marking a significant milestone in his cinematic journey

lives, learns, unlearns, and evolves.
